General Hospital Tuesday, May 7 Recap: Sonny Catches Ric’s Lie – Ethan Learns Secret Partner Delilah Dead
At GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was tired of talking about her injuries and managed to get Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to discuss some other topics for a bit.
Curtis playfully acted jealous over the flowers Brick (Stephen A. Smith) brought and shared some warm moments with Jordan.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) eventually arrived with Jordan’s discharge papers and sat her down to discuss what she’d need to do to care for her wounds at home.
Once Curtis took Jordan back to their place, she remarked on everything looking normal like nothing had changed.
In reality, Jordan’s life had been turned upside down, so she wished she could go back and keep her eyes on the road that night.
Curtis insisted the other driver was responsible too for fleeing the scene and costing them valuable time.
Jordan wished they knew who the other driver was, so Curtis admitted that he thought he’d found him.
In Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) office, she quizzed ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) about Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) being a possible suspect when it came to the other driver who didn’t stop for Jordan’s crash.
Isaiah drove the type of car consistent with the guardrail paint and there were questions about his whereabouts that night, but Justine was still iffy on whether she could get the warrant.
Laura was concerned over Curtis’ personal vendetta and confessed she hoped Isaiah wasn’t guilty since he saved Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) life.
Isaiah was also Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) friend, but Laura wasn’t asking Justine to bury this despite her wish for the good doc to be innocent.
Justine ultimately received a discreet text from Sonny and headed off to meet him at the studio apartment above Charlie’s Pub.
After Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) got on board with Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) weekend getaway offer, she made her way to Laura’s office and asked her to check in with Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy) while she was gone.
Laura was uneasy about Elizabeth and Ric’s romantic reunion now that he was working for Sonny, but Liz was clearly feeling good about their future.
On the pier, Ethan left another voicemail and seemed worried about his partner not meeting him or reaching out.
Ethan called Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone) by her first name and clearly wanted to help her.

Once Sonny showed up for his meeting with Ethan, he learned Ric had been having an intense conversation with Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the Metro Court Gardens.
Ethan wasn’t close enough to hear the details, but he saw Ava return to her table with Jens Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and assumed Ric had Ava relay a message to him.
Sonny wondered why he should believe Ethan’s version of events since Ethan didn’t trust Ric.
Ethan argued that Sonny must not trust Ric either since he was having Ethan spy on him.
Since Ethan felt confident Ric and Ava were in cahoots on something, he questioned Sonny about the next move.
Sonny insisted Ethan shouldn’t do anything without an order.

After Ethan left, Sonny summoned Ric next and let him know Ethan passed the money test they discussed.
Sonny also wondered where Ric had gone in a hurry the other day, so Ric lied about having a meeting with the DA’s office.
Once Sonny met up with Justine later, he got her to confirm Ric’s deception.
Sonny fumed over Ric lying to him again and worried it meant that Ric wanted to finish what he started when it came to targeting Sonny for so many years.
Back with Ric, he spoke to Ava over the phone about their plan moving forward in secrecy.
At the Quartermaine estate, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was nervous over Curtis suggesting that the cops were closing in on a suspect, but Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) acted like BLQ shouldn’t worry since it wasn’t her.
Brook Lynn knew she couldn’t come forward now since she was desperate to adopt Phoebe.
Tracy wanted to use Quartermaine connections to pull strings, but Brook Lynn worried Chase wouldn’t approve and needed to speak to him about all this first.
Brook Lynn and Chase eventually had a discussion about Phoebe’s adoption, so Chase was relieved since he’d been feeling the same way about wanting to be her permanent parents.
Chase and Brook Lynn had some concerns about the background checks that’d be required, but they were prepared to do whatever it took to fight for Phoebe.
In the living room, Tracy pitched the idea of Ethan working for Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to scout out wellness center locations in Australia.
Tracy’s true motive was getting Ethan away from Sonny, but he stood his ground on sticking around Port Charles to work for him.
Tracy questioned Ethan about the real reason for his return to PC, so he hinted about working with a partner on a job.
Port Charles had been their designated meetup spot, but Ethan hadn’t been able to reconnect with her.
While Tracy was off at the stables, Brook Lynn came back inside with Chase and introduced him to Ethan.
After Ethan commented on Chase and Brook Lynn’s adorable daughter, they explained that they were fostering the baby girl after her mother passed away following birth complications.
Ethan seemed curious, so Brook Lynn said no family had come forward to claim Phoebe.
Brook Lynn told Ethan that the only thing they knew about the birth mom was her name: Delilah Wilson.
That obviously brought a moment of realization for Ethan, but he tried not to let it show.
General Hospital spoilers say Ethan will have a lot to wrap his head around, so stay tuned.
