Coronation Street has confirmed a tense showdown for Tim Metcalfe next week, as he finally confronts evil Trisha Marlow over her historic grooming. The cabbie hits Trisha with the harsh reality of her actions, but will he get the justice he deserves?

Shortly after Trisha joined the soap last year, it was revealed that she and Tim had shared a fling back in the day. The pair were thrilled to be briefly reunited, with Tim later recalling losing his virginity to her when he was 14 and she was 20.

At first, Tim refused to think of Trisha as an abuser, despite him being a minor at the time. But after seeing Will Driscoll’s ordeal with Megan Walsh come to light, he finally realised he had also been groomed.

In next week’s episodes, Will makes the risky decision to flee to France with Megan, in order to start a new life together. Swiping £2,000 from his family’s safe, he heads off to the train station but luckily ends up in the back of Tim’s cab.

Having recently come to terms with his own abuse, Tim manages to talk Will out of the escape and even helps him realise the truth about the sports coach.

Later, the cabbie decides Trisha needs to take accountability for her actions too.

In scenes that will air on Wednesday 13 May, Tim tries to contact Trisha again, after failing to reach her a few weeks ago. But when she continues to ignore his texts, he vows to track her down and confront her face-to-face.

Turning up to her workplace, Tim corners Trisha into an uncomfortable conversation, making it clear that she abused him when he was just a teenager. How will she react to his accusations?
