Home and Away‘s upcoming season finale will take fans on an emotional rollercoaster, with a surprise proposal ahead of a devastating train crash. As the lives of various characters hang

in the balance, will one couple’s relationship come to a tragic end? In this week’s episodes, Remi Carter and Sonny Baldwin head off to a three-day music festival – ironically named

Off the Rails – where they have secured a performance slot for their new artist Eddie Shepherd.

According to The West Australian, Eddie’s girlfriend Jo Langham decides to support him at the festival, with her sister Lacey Miller in tow.

The party train is also boarded by other Summer Bay residents, including Dana Matheson, Justin Morgan, Mackenzie Booth and Abigail Fowler, who look forward to letting their hair down at the fun event.

With the party in full swing, Jo receives a huge shock as Eddie decides to pop the question. He gets down on one knee and presents her with a makeshift ring.

“I won’t reveal what her answer is yet, but fans will be very excited, I am sure,” teased Maddison Brown, who plays Jo.

Regardless of Jo’s response, things take a horrific turn for everyone on the train when the vehicle is suddenly derailed – sending the passengers flying. They scramble to help each other after the shocking crash. But will everyone make it out alive?

The huge stunt was filmed with a specialist team and will see emergency service workers onboard a real train as they search for casualties in the aftermath.

“So much went into it,” Brown explained. “We have such amazing series producers, and they absolutely planned it all down to the nth degree and down to the minute.”

She added: “It wouldn’t be a Home and Away finale without cliffhangers and drama — and fans will have more than enough to sustain them through the summer break.”
