General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, October 16 tease Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) pleasantly surprised, and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is ecstatic!

Also, Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) suspicious, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has another condition.

Britt’s Pleasantly Surprised

At the hospital, Britt is pleasantly surprised as she sees someone in the halls of GH-someone whom she’ll ask for a favor. She smiles and asks, “What are you doing here”? so it’s obviously someone she doesn’t expect to encounter.

She just had a conversation with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) about her missing-in-action best friend Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Might fans be treated to a surprise return of the disgraced former lab tech? Or is Britt glad to see someone else, and wonder why they’re at GH?

Molly’s Ecstatic

In the meantime, at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, a newly freed Ric looks a little worse for the wear as Molly excitedly hugs him. Molly asks, “What happened to you?” it would seem that Molly notices how rough her father looks.

Ric and Molly both look like they’re on the verge of tears, Ric having been held captive in Alexis’ basement, newly rescued by Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

One of his captors had been the one who texted Molly from his phone, claiming he was on a digital detox, when in reality, he probably needs detox from sleeping pills!

Ava Jerome (Maura West) used up a whole bottle on  him over the past weeks, although he had started spitting them out.

Felicia Tells Elizabeth Nathan’s Rights

At the hospital, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) seems to be in a rather tense conversation with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) has just been released from GH, and had apparently been set to either live about Bobbie’s, or possibly with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

But that was before Nina’s recent arrest for conspiracy to murder Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) which happened right in front of him.

The subject of James West (Gary James Fuller) comes up and Felicia tells a sour looking Elizabeth that if Nathan wants to take James, he has every right to. For some reason, the thought of Nathan caring for James seems very displeasing to her!

Anna’s Suspicious

Elsewhere, in Anna’s office at the Port Charles Police Department, Anna and Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) appear to be discussing Drew’s case.

They are standing near the persons of interest board as she tells Dante she doesn’t like the timing of any of this. Even though Nina wasn’t with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) at the time of the shooting and there’s proof, crumbling their alibis, something’s not right.

Both Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) have alibis, yet both had access to the Quartermaine mansion and both were alone at Elizabeth’s house.

Is Anna doubting that Willow didn’t shoot Drew, and believing her when she thinks Michael framed her? Or did Carly plant Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun in Elizabeth’s house to help clear Michael?

Risky Business

Still in Switzerland where they visited Steinmauer and Valentin, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) talks to her daughter about her father.

She tells a serious-looking Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) that seeing her father comes with a certain level of risk. Even though Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) assured Lulu that Charlotte, and Lulu, would both be safe, Charlotte didn’t trust him.

Charlotte accused Brennan of setting Valentin up and framing him-might she be right?

However, there was that little incident in the café where Brennan’s assistant Collete Moreau (Mercedes Renard Lopez) supposedly went rogue and shot at them-Lulu’s likely reacting to that.

Valentin Has Another Condition

Speaking of Brennan, he doesn’t look pleased when Valentin tells him he has another condition to be met before he’ll give him the intel he wants.

After seeing Charlotte and getting a hug and some time with her alone, Brennan sent another agent in to interrogate him.

But if Brennan really, really wants that information that only Valentin has, namely, details on Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) last project-he’ll give in.

Brennan and the WSB obviously think that what was happening at the Five Poppies Resort, and Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is connected to Faison, in spite of his brain being in a jar!

He’s not the only one-Anna is suspicious as well, and that timing is strange as well-two of Faison’s children showing up alive at close to  the same time?

Brennan’s Busted, Carly’s Disgusted!

Back in Port Charles, Brennan’s busted, and Carly’s disgusted as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) apparently is breaking his promise to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) for her own good.

He had promised her he wouldn’t blow her cover to her mother, and wouldn’t tell her that she too, was a WSB agent, not just her latest boyfriend, S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee).

Jason is upset as he tries to break the trees in the forest Carly can’t seem to see the trees for! Jason gets a little loud as he tells Carly “He’s lied to you about everything!” Carly looks just as upset as he does!
