Very Shocking Update: Coronation Street star Vicky Myers’ ’heart is full’ as she celebrates big personal milestone
DS Lisa Swain has plenty to celebrate right now in Coronation Street. She’s finally rid of her corrupt copper ex-wife, Becky (Amy Cudden), who’d kidnapped and imprisoned
her true love, Carla Connor (Alison King) while manipulating her and their daughter, Betsy (Sydney Martin). While things in Swarla-land looked fraught for
a time after all of the carnage that bunny boiling Becks had created, all has righted itself, with Lisa and Carla re-affirming their love and reuniting,
and a couple of white dresses on the horizon… Off-screen, Lisa actor Vicky Myers has plenty to celebrate herself, celebrating her 50th birthday yesterday.
Vicky is celebrating the big 5-0!
‘Hello 50!’ she began the caption of her post.
‘Thank you for the messages, cards, letters, edits and reels, (I still don’t quite know the difference between the two but hey…) and the gifts, oh my goodness, the gifts!’
‘What do you say when ‘thank you’ just doesn’t quite hit the mark? I’m so incredibly grateful. You had me dumbstruck, which is no mean feat. Thank you, thank you, thank you.’
She then took some time to speak to her fans regarding birthday gifts.
‘Whilst we are on this topic though, please do not feel that you have to send a gift to receive a signed cast card – that is absolutely NOT the case. I would hate for anyone to think that and I worry some might. All you need to do is pop a letter in the post to the studios; I’ll read it, respond, sign the cast card and post it back to you, at some point. Please be patient but you will receive a response at some point this year, I hope.
‘That said, I don’t want this message to come across that I’m being ungrateful either, because that could not be further from the truth. I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full, as is my front room.
‘Thank you for making the day so very special! Here’s to another trip around the sun. It’s going to be the best yet!’
The comments section was flooded with love from co-stars and fans alike.
Abi Webster actress Sally Carman-Duttine replied: ‘That sky! Full of every good thing just waiting for you to breathe it in and claim it! Love you bud.’
Sue Devaney (Debbie Webster) added: ‘You are going to have the bestest of the best 50th year my darling girl! The best decade ever! And you are a stunner inside and out! Love you’
‘HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY Vicky’, said Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman.
Kel Allen who played Laura Neelan posted: ‘Happy birthday, oh gorgeous one!! And happeeee Galentine’s Day! Hope you’re being spoiled blummin’ rotten and making the most of year long birthday celebrations! Sending the BIGGEST birthday squeeze your way darling’
Fans of Vicky were equally as lovely with their comments, with Kirsty Louise Lewis posting: ‘In my eyes you literally deserve the world (if you’ve opened my gift you’ll know i tried my best to give it to you 😉), you have the kindest, purest heart and are a bigger inspiration than you will ever realise, 50 is going to be a dream for you, I know it! Lots of love always’
Caitlyn Richmond said: ‘Vicky, you deserve all the love in the world. Thank you for everything that you do. I’ll be forever grateful for you. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I can’t wait to see you next month. Lots of love’
Sophie added: ‘You truly deserve all the love Vicky. I know you’ll continue to do great things and have great times in this new chapter of life! Thank you for shining so bright – that light helps others find their way in the dark’
