Very Shocking Update: Coronation Street star speaks out on link between Jodie and Emmerdale’s Graham
There have been plenty of twists and turns in both Coronation Street and Emmerdale since the epic Corriedale crossover episode, but one question has continued to plague fans…
What is the connection between Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown)?
Soap fans will recall that Jodie made her first appearance on screen in the crossover episode, where she was tied up in the back of Graham’s van.
Olivia Frances-Brown has teased that the connection between Jodie Ramsey and Graham Foster will soon be revealed
When Graham spotted Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) amid the carnage of the pile-up, he left Jodie and the van unattended, giving her the opportunity to escape.
After realising she was missing, Graham made a mysterious phone call, announcing to whoever was on the other end that Jodie had got away, and that he was terminating their contract.
Meanwhile, Jodie was found by DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who helped get her to hospital, where she crossed paths with half-sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding).
Since then, the estranged siblings have reconnected, with Jodie moving in with the Platts. However, they appear completely oblivious to the trouble she’s been causing on the cobbles – and the sinister plan she has in store for Shona.
With Jodie so focused on getting revenge on Shona, the mysterious circumstances surrounding her arrival seem to have been forgotten – but that may not be the case for long, according to actress Olivia Frances-Brown.
‘It’s a complicated story, it’s not straightforward, but it’s all going to be cleared up, eventually,’ she told The Mirror, adding that it would be ‘pretty soon’.
‘There’s going be a few twists and turns before we get there,’ she continued to tease.
There is certainly drama on the horizon, with Jodie one of five potential victims of a brutal murder, which was revealed in a recent flash-forward episode.
The episode saw Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) facing questions from police after discovering a body.
As well as Jodie, the body could be Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) or Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon).
With all of her storylines so far having been shrouded in mystery, Olivia admitted to the publication that it was tough to keep things secret.
‘Oh, it’s been difficult – everyone wants to know. It seems like everybody’s got that question, and I always get it, and I can’t answer it,’ she said.
She went on to tease that there are ‘juicy scenes’ ahead for the villains as she referenced the flash-forward story, though she remained tight-lipped on who is set to meet their maker.
Could it be Jodie? And could it have anything to do with her connection to Graham?
