Newest Update!! Sharni Vinson Stuns in Sunshine Coast Swim as Home and Away Fans Call for Her Return
Former Home and Away favourite Sharni Vinson turned heads this week with a sun-soaked Instagram post that reminded fans exactly why she remains one of Australia’s most adored beach icons.
The 42-year-old actress, best known for playing Cassie Turner on the hit soap, shared a breathtaking snap of herself stepping into the crystal-clear surf on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Wearing a leopard-print G-string bikini, Sharni showed off her toned, tanned figure as she waded into the ocean, her long brunette hair cascading down her back. The effortlessly natural photo sent fans — and followers — into a frenzy.

Fitness, Travel and That Signature Glow
Following the beach post, Sharni gave fans a glimpse into her fitness routine via Instagram Stories, showing herself at a local Pilates studio. Before her workout, she snapped a quick mirror selfie revealing her sculpted abs — the result of a lifestyle that blends fitness, travel and sunshine.
Between Australia and Indonesia, Sharni’s Instagram feed reads like a visual travel diary filled with tropical escapes, ocean swims, and glowing beach days. Earlier this year, she posted a series of envy-inducing photos from Nusa Lembongan, a serene island southeast of Bali, where she was seen posing in vibrant swimwear against scenic backdrops.

From Summer Bay to Hollywood
Sharni rose to fame as the rebellious yet lovable Cassie Turner on Home and Away, appearing in over 300 episodes between 2005 and 2008. Before landing her breakout role, she made smaller appearances in 2001 and 2003, before becoming a household name at just 22 years old.
Since leaving Summer Bay, Sharni has built an impressive international career, featuring in U.S. television hits such as NCIS and CSI, along with starring roles in The Guardians of Justice on Netflix and Australian Survivor.

A Sweet Summer Bay Reunion
Back in March, Sharni delighted fans when she reunited with Home and Away legend Lynne McGranger, who has played Irene Roberts for over 30 years. The pair posed together at The Sunshine Coast Events Centre during Lynne’s musical comedy show The Grandparents Club 2.
Captioning the photo “Away from home with @lynnemcgranger,” Sharni added a playful #reunion hashtag — and encouraged followers to vote for Lynne at the Logie Awards.
The reunion sent Home and Away fans into nostalgia mode, with one commenting, “Cassie and Irene reunion! I hope we see you back in Summer Bay soon.” Another added, “The reunion we never knew we needed — love this!”

Still the Heart of Summer Bay
Seventeen years after leaving the soap that made her famous, Sharni Vinson continues to embody the laid-back glamour that Home and Away is known for. Whether she’s embracing beach life, hitting the Pilates mat, or reuniting with old castmates, one thing’s clear — fans would welcome Cassie Turner back to the Bay in a heartbeat.
