Newest Update!! Paddy doomed in Emmerdale ITVX release as evidence could see him jailed

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale dated February 18. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Despite the Emmerdale village being home to police-based drama, not all of the residents are good at holding their own when being questioned by an officer.

This was highlighted in today’s episode, as an anxious Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) found himself sitting opposite DS Walsh in a police interview room.

Paddy Kirk’s life could be about to change again

Paddy and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) were asked to go to the station yesterday because Walsh had suspicions they were involved in Ray Walters’ (Joe Absolom) murder.

Paddy, Dylan and Bear have all been questioned by DS Walsh

Bear has been arrested for the crime, but he’s sticking to the story that no-one else played a part in the disposing of the body. Walsh has sensed the entire week that this isn’t true, as Bear’s poor physical state after escaping the farm meant he would’ve needed help.

But with Bear refusing to say anything else, the detective decided to turn her attention to Dylan and Paddy to try and make them crack.

Dylan held his own pretty well in the interview room. He stuck to the story, and consistently reminded Walsh that he’s also a victim in this situation.

When it was Paddy’s turn to get questioned, he told Walsh that he wasn’t involved in Ray’s death because he was away from the village at a vet conference. When he was asked if there was any physical proof he spent the evening in a hotel, Paddy said yes.

Walsh doesn’t believe that Bear was the only person involved in Ray’s murder

Which may potentially turn out to be the biggest mistake of his life.

Back at home, Paddy updated vet colleague Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) about his cover story, so she could back him up if Walsh ends up asking her.

Rhona remained hopeful and told Paddy that everything will be fine, but Paddy knew that if Walsh looks deep enough, she won’t find any invoices or receipts that prove he was at a hotel the day Ray was killed.
