General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) finally came face-to-face with Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) following his return from the grave.

Nathan and Maxie were both thrown for a loop when they had that cemetery encounter, but what does the future hold for these two? It’s clear that Nathan

is falling for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and that he would’ve pursued a romance with her if Maxie hadn’t woken up.

However, Maxie is indeed awake now, which makes things all kinds of complicated!

Since Maxie’s back, Nathan hinted to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about giving his marriage another try for James West’s (Gary James Fuller) sake.

Dante suggested Nathan had to want it too, but it just doesn’t seem like Nathan’s heart is in it.

Even so, Nathan may at least attempt to reunite with Maxie and enter a new chapter. Maxie has feelings for Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) too, but part of her has perhaps never fully gotten over losing Nathan.

As a result, Maxie may start falling for Nathan again while he’s stuck pining for Lulu.

Nathan may go through the motions with Maxie while remaining drawn to Lulu and what might’ve been.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) wasn’t happy when she found out Lulu and Nathan shared a kiss, but she knows they can’t change what happened.

Now Brook Lynn is just focused on helping Maxie get her life back on track, which means leaving her in the dark on what went down between Lulu and Nathan.

Brook Lynn just wants to see everyone move forward, but Nathan and Lulu may be unable to resist another kiss.

The longer Lulu and Nathan try to stay away from each other, the more likely it becomes that the temptation will become too much to bear.

It’s possible Maxie could find out about Nathan and Lulu’s previous kiss through eavesdropping or something along those lines.

That said, this is one situation where “show, don’t tell” would be the soapiest route for GH writers to take.

What if Maxie witnesses a kiss between Lulu and Nathan for herself?

That would really heighten the sting of the double betrayal and leave Maxie crushed over this scandalous news.
