There has always been unfinished business between Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) in Emmerdale.

A reunion nearly happened in the summer when, during a low moment of the IVF treatment, Charity begged Vanessa to spend the night and ultimately ended up kissing her.

It wasn’t the moment for a reunion though and Vanessa put a stop to things, but she also told Charity she’d have to come clean as she refused to lie for her.

So, it’s been a bit of a worry for Charity when she recently confessed to Vanessa that her baby isn’t Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill), knowing that Vanessa isn’t great at keeping secrets.

Things could go either way on Christmas Day when the two women are forced to spend the day together.

Charity is left panicked and fire-fighting the situation when Vanessa stays for dinner and begins to get drunk.

Unable to keep a lie when she’s sober, it certainly doesn’t bode well that she’s lowering her inhibitions.

Charity is terrified about what Vanessa will say and tries to distract herself by cosying up to Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who has also left Charity fearful as a result of his blossoming friendship with the father of her baby.

She might as well make the most of her time with her hubby, as it certainly seems like it’s borrowed.

Will Vanessa ruin everything and reveal the truth about Charity’s baby?

Is Mack going to discover Charity’s one night stand with Ross Barton (Michael Parr) over Christmas?
