Newest Update!! Emmerdale reveals major throwback in Robert’s fight against Joe

Emmerdale‘s Robert Sugden goes back to his roots next week – just as his tensions with Joe Tate are threatening to explode. Could a heartwarming reminder of

the past inspire Robert not to give up amid the Sugdens’ escalating war against the Tates?

Upcoming episodes see Joe make Robert’s life a misery with a series of worrying new threats. Still holding the incriminating footage which proves

that Victoria killed John, ruthless Joe threatens to use it against the Sugden family unless he gets his way.

Joe wants Moira Dingle’s farm signed over to him as quickly as possible, so he repeatedly reminds the Sugdens about the damning video as he tries to speed things along.

The Home Farm businessman also threatens to plant further evidence against Moira, which could seal her fate as she faces charges of double murder and human trafficking.

But if Joe’s hideous behaviour wasn’t enough to convince Robert to fight for his family, a reminder of what it means to be a Sugden helps cement his resolve.

Back in 1994, the village of Beckindale was officially renamed Emmerdale in honour of the Sugdens and their farm, with the aim of giving the community a fresh start after the plane crash that claimed four residents.

Next week, Robert and his partner Aaron bond over an original piece of the sacred signpost. Robert is then hit with a wave of optimism and given renewed hope.

With Aaron’s support, will the past play a pivotal role in shaping Rob’s future? And is there any way that he can outsmart Joe?

“The week ends with Robert on his knees in Annie’s Field vowing not to be beaten,” reveals our spy. “He’s determined to restore the Sugden name to its former glory – but will that mean going into battle with the Tates?

“If the old, wily Robert Sugden has anything to do with it, Joe had better watch his back…”
