Newest Update!! Daniel gets a massive shock in Coronation Street following a violent attack

Violently assaulted and left for dead on Coronation Street, Weatherfield High teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) had no idea that his attacker was one of

his students, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale)… until now. The Christmas Day Attack was the turkey of Corrie’s juicy story feast.  As far as Daniel was concerned,

he was attending the Driscoll’s Christmas dinner with his new girlfriend, Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) – much to the fury of young Will Driscoll.

After months of gaslighting and grooming, Will believes that he is in a clandestine relationship with his athletics coach. But there’s no love involved. Megan is a sexual predator. Not only is she using Will, but she’s also using her relationship with an unsuspecting Daniel as the perfect cover for her illicit behaviour.

This drove Will wild with jealousy, leading him to assault Daniel from behind and leave him unconscious in a ginnel. The only person witness to the crime, was Will’s grandmother Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).

The young lad managed to spin his hatred for Daniel as annoyance at failing a mock exam and the way Daniel had spoken to Maggie the previous day.

Fiercely protective of her family, Maggie knows what it’s like to lose your temper in the heat of the moment… mainly because she killed her husband by pushed her husband down the stairs during a blazing row. So, she agreed to keep Will’s secret.

However, that secret looks about to be exposed.

There have been multiple threats to Megan recently, which have kept fans guessing who and what will bring her down. From a pregnancy scare to a former underage victim of her grooming coming out of the woodwork, the manipulative paedophile has been putting out fires on all fronts.

Now, schoolboy detective Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) is on the case and is starting to suspect that there’s something weird about Megan’s behaviour towards Will. So far, Megan’s always stayed one step ahead.

But now it looks like Megan is about to be caught in a web of her own making when kind-of-but-not-really boyfriend Daniel gets a little too close to the truth.

Upcoming episodes of Coronation Street will see Daniel meet Colin, the man jailed for his for his attack at Christmas as part of the restorative justice programme… only to realise he wasn’t his attacker after all.

Meanwhile, Will’s got troubles of his own. He’s already tense over money troubles and has been warned by Maggie about his short fuse. Then along comes Daniel, who overhears a remark about Will’s ‘terrible temper’.

Daniel of all people knows how easily the red mist descends on the littlest Driscoll. Let’s not forget how the headmaster suspended the jealous schoolboy for spray-painting a certain male body part on Ken Barlow’s (William Roach’s car).

Will has lashed out at Daniel before

Thanks to Megan’s deception, Daniel has so far put Will’s outbursts down to a teenage crush on his athletics coach. He’s totally oblivious to the true depth of Will’s feelings.

Will the truth finally click into place?

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Megan’s downfall. With a special flashforward whodunnit story coming up where a mystery Coronation Street resident is found dead, will this be the end of one of Corrie’s most despicable villains?

Or maybe Megan must take drastic action to keep her secret safe?
