Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) recently talked about retirement and Marlena’s love life after John Black (Drake Hogestyn). In an interview with Woman’s World,

Hall discussed her Days career and what could be next for her character. For starters, Hall made it clear that she’s not in any hurry to leave Salem. Since Hall loves playing Marlena and

working with so many wonderful people, a Days exit isn’t even on her radar right now. “You’ll have to drag me out of there,” Hall insisted.

Deidre Hall mentioned the show’s great team, which has obviously become like a family to her.

It’s good to know that Hall intends on sticking around and being part of many more DOOL storylines to come.

Could one of those storylines involve a new love interest for Marlena?

It’s tricky since John was arguably Marlena’s soulmate and the true love of her life, but Hall isn’t ruling out future romantic happiness for her character either.

Marlena will certainly need more time to grieve this tremendous loss and figure out what her life looks like without John in it.

This can’t happen overnight, but maybe another man could come along and capture Marlena’s heart somewhere down the road.

“I think Marlena will love again,” Hall admitted.

As for who Marlena might fall for when the time comes, Hall is leaving that in the hands of Days writers and the casting department.

Since Hall has total faith in them, she feels confident that they’ll know it’s “a big ask” to find someone new for Marlena.

If Marlena does get a new romantic partner, the story will no doubt be respectful of the love she used to share with John as well.
