Biggest bombshell! Emmerdale Full Episode | Wednesday 10th September 2025
For more than a decade, Daisy Campbell was a familiar face to millions of soap fans. Joining Emmerdale at the tender age of seven, she grew up on-screen, portraying Amelia Spencer through some of
the show’s most dramatic storylines. But in a move that shocked viewers and devastated the actress herself, Daisy was suddenly axed after 13 years—leaving her grappling with heartbreak, uncertainty,
and the daunting task of redefining her future. Now 22, Daisy is finally opening up about the pain of her exit, the sacrifices she made as a child star, and how she’s transforming her struggles into an inspiring new chapter of her life.

A Childhood on the Dales
From her very first day on set, Daisy was thrust into the whirlwind world of soap opera fame. Landing a major ITV role at seven years old is the dream of many aspiring actors, but Daisy admits it came with an enormous cost. While her peers enjoyed the carefree experiences of school trips, weekends with friends, and teenage milestones, Daisy was tied to filming schedules, scripts, and the pressures of public recognition.
“I feel like I did miss out a lot during my childhood,” she reflects. “I used to want to stay at school with my friends rather than be on set. But I wouldn’t change it. I was in such a privileged position.”
Despite the sacrifices, Daisy flourished. Amelia became a fan-favorite, navigating dramatic plots from teenage motherhood to toxic relationships. For Daisy, Emmerdale was more than just a job—it was home.
A Cruel and Abrupt Ending
But in 2024, everything changed. Daisy sensed something was amiss when new producers took over, and her contract renewal failed to materialize. Then came the devastating blow: Amelia would be written out, leaving the village behind after the downfall of her manipulative boyfriend, Tom King.
“It was ripped away from me,” Daisy admits with raw honesty. “That’s what it genuinely felt like—so out of the blue. You do just get into a bit of a hole of, oh God, like, can I do this? Why me?”

Her departure mirrored the abrupt exits of other beloved characters, but for Daisy, it wasn’t just the end of a storyline—it was the collapse of her world. Having dedicated 13 years of her life to the soap, she was left reeling, questioning not only her career but also her identity.
A Glimmer of Hope
Determined not to let her passion fade, Daisy quickly landed a role in Casualty, appearing as Georgina Birch in a one-off episode. Though brief, the opportunity reassured her that life after Emmerdale was possible.
“I loved it—it gave me the confidence to know I’d be okay,” she says. But auditions soon dried up, and as the darker months of winter closed in, Daisy found herself struggling with the silence.
“I had a lot of time to think. At first, I liked the freedom—working there from being seven, I’d never had freedom before. But then I found it hard. I wanted something stable for myself, something that would keep me busy.”
Reinvention: From Soap Star to Studio Owner
It was during this period of reflection that Daisy came up with an idea that would transform her future. With the savings she had carefully tucked away from her years on Emmerdale, Daisy decided to build something of her own: a pilates studio.
Teaming up with her supportive grandad, she poured months of effort into renovating a 200-year-old courthouse in her hometown of Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The result was That Pilates Place—a stylish wellness space designed to bring people together.
“I passed both my exams first time,” Daisy beams. “I wanted to use what I got from Emmerdale and put it into something positive. I don’t want to waste the money I saved on things I don’t need. This is something that will grow into something big and give me longevity.”
Her boyfriend Nick has been a constant source of encouragement throughout the process, and Daisy credits him with helping her see the project through. “He’s been incredibly supportive. He’s so happy I’ve found a purpose.”
Building a Community, Not Just a Business
For Daisy, her studio is about more than fitness. It’s about creating the sense of belonging she once had on set, and offering a safe, supportive environment for others.
“I want to build a community of people,” she explains. “From being on a soap, you always have that attention on you, but people don’t really know you. This is my chance to take a bad situation and turn it into something positive.”
Has She Left Acting Behind?
Despite her new career path, Daisy insists she hasn’t closed the door on acting entirely. “Acting is something I can never let go of,” she says firmly. “But for now, this business comes first. Sometimes you need that little bit of a break to focus on something else.”
It’s a pragmatic approach from someone who has learned the hard way how unstable the entertainment industry can be. Yet Daisy’s resilience shines through. She has taken the heartbreak of being axed and transformed it into a story of empowerment, determination, and reinvention.
From Loss to Legacy
Daisy Campbell’s story is a reminder of the hidden struggles behind the glamour of soap stardom. She sacrificed her childhood to entertain millions, only to face an abrupt and painful ending. Yet instead of allowing it to define her, she has carved a new path—one rooted in strength, creativity, and community.
Her fans, who watched her grow from a child into a young woman on-screen, will no doubt continue to follow her journey—whether that leads back to the dramatic twists of soapland or into a flourishing career in wellness.
As Daisy herself says: “Sometimes a bad situation can lead to something beautiful.”
And if her resilience is anything to go by, this is only the beginning of her next great chapter.
