BREAKING NEWS : General Hospital Friday, February 27 Recap: Maxie Angers Sidwell, Nathan Loses It on Liesl, Britt’s Pascal Plan
General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, February 27, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had a dangerous idea while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms)
got on Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) bad side. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) also lashed out at Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), so here’s how Friday’s episode went down.
In Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office at GH, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) talked about Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) visiting her and opening her eyes to some things.
Trina didn’t want Portia to be unhappy and alone, so she apologized for hurting her mom.
After Portia and Trina shared an emotional embrace, Trina felt her mom’s baby kick and got excited about the new sibling that was on the way.
At the Metro Court, Nathan broke the news to Obrecht that Maxie chose Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), so she urged Nathan to fight for her – especially for James West’s (Gary James Fuller) sake.
Nathan blew up at Liesl and warned her to leave James out of this.
After Nathan fumed over Obrecht insinuating that he was neglecting his son, he suggested she had no business judging anybody else’s parenting skills.
Nathan quickly realized he’d flown off the handle and was sorry for losing his cool, but he still felt the need to walk away from this conversation.
Meanwhile, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) interviewed Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) by her side.
Willow seemed a little out of the loop when it came to her new role in Congress, but Nina was there to jump in and help her along the way.
However, Lulu noticed Nina’s repeated use of the word “we” and quizzed her about how actively she’d be involved in Willow’s Congress gig.
Nina downplayed things before leaving Willow to handle the rest of the interview alone.
Once Nina joined Nathan at the nearby bar, she found out Maxie picked Spinelli and that he wanted to move forward with Lulu now.
Soon after, Nathan met up with Lulu, who was still concerned about Maxie’s reaction and all the complications involved here.
That said, Lulu eventually decided to pursue a romance with Nathan, but she warned that they couldn’t do it in secret.
After Lulu said they needed to confess to Maxie, she questioned which one of them should come clean to her.
Back with Willow, she reconvened with Nina and reflected on her newfound power.
Willow hinted that if Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) tried to push her on anything, she was going to push back.
Next, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) showed up at Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) law office and faced questions about why she didn’t warn Alexis about her press conference curveball.
Laura pointed out that she tried to text Alexis, who checked her phone and realized the mayor had indeed tried to get in touch
Alexis was upset since she’d spread the word about sliding in Drew’s Congress seat and then lost it to Willow of all people! Laura was sorry about letting Alexis down, but Alexis was willing to forgive her.
Back at the hospital, Britt summoned Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), who admitted he hadn’t been able to find her medication at Wyndemere yet.
Britt thought Lucas could ask Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) where the meds were stashed, but Lucas admitted he hadn’t told Marco he was helping Britt yet.
Britt suggested that was probably for the best since Marco couldn’t be trusted.
As Britt offered up an alternative solution, she pulled out a syringe of sodium pentothal and planned to use it to knock Pascal (Marc Forget) out when he approached her for an injection.
Britt presumably planned to steal her own dose for reverse engineering.
Lucas didn’t like the risks of that plan and eventually headed back to Wyndemere with one of his own.
Britt had a syringe in her hand when Liesl barged in later, but she quickly stashed it away.
Obrecht sought Britt’s help convincing Nathan to fight for Maxie, but Britt suggested that maybe Spinelli was the right man for her.
As Britt rattled off reasons why Maxie might belong with Spinelli, she smiled over him perhaps knowing Maxie better than she knew herself.
Liesl quickly realized Britt was really talking about her bond with Jason and pushed her daughter to get out of her own way.
In the meantime, Sidwell spoke with Marco on the parapet and assured him that they were seconds away from putting the final nail in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) coffin.
After Sidwell mentioned Willow scoring Drew’s Congress seat, he suggested that her vendetta with Michael could work in their favor.
Sidwell thought Willow might use her political position to send the FBI after Sonny, but Marco was skeptical about that working out.
Talk turned to Britt’s prototype timeline, so Sidwell insisted that her life depended on her completing it.
Lucas met up with Marco privately and pushed him for the whole truth about Britt’s medication situation.
Marco passed Lucas’ test by telling him everything that Britt had already told him.
Marco didn’t like the fact that Lucas had spoken to Britt about all this, but Lucas was determined to help her.
Lucas pushed Marco to steal a dose so they could reverse engineer it and free Britt.
Although Lucas worried all their lives would be in jeopardy, he reluctantly got on board with the idea.
At Deception, Maxie happily reunited with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), who brought her up to speed on the nosedive their business took after her on-screen collapse.
Maxie wasn’t pleased to learn Sidwell stepped in to save them.
After Maxie heard about Sidwell’s deal with Deception, she met with him along with Lucy.
Maxie felt they should discuss Sidwell’s exit strategy from the company, but Sidwell wasn’t budging since he had a contract.
As Sidwell left with Lucy, Maxie made it clear that this discussion would be revisited and got a glare in response.
General Hospital spoilers say Maxie could be a problem for Sidwell all over again
