General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will certainly explode if Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) returns home and her beloved Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)

does not. As fans know, Jason is planning to leave Port Charles with his lady love to help Britt escape the predicament she’s in.

Right now, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and WSB Head Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) have coerced Britt to help them complete Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project.

They continue to dangle her Huntington’s disease medication as a bargaining chip to ensure she stays in line.

Still, with the help of Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), the plan is to figure out the elements in the drug so that Britt doesn’t need Cullum’s injections.

Then – Britt and Jason will hit the road! Carly and Jason had a very emotional “goodbye” during the Wednesday, March 12 episode.

Jason paid a visit to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) first to ensure he had Carly’s best interest at heart.

He also gave Valentin a warning to keep his bestie safe, and they headed to the kitchen to wait for Carly so he could bid her farewell.

Jason is on the cusp of leaving town, but not for good, so both he and Carly promised that they’d talk about both their adventures once he returned.

With that said, General Hospital fans know that Steve Burton is taking a small hiatus from the show.

In fact, Burton recently confirmed on his podcast with Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) that his exit will occur somewhere in and around the end of March.

It will take another couple of days – maybe even a couple of weeks – for Lucas to snag that medication and replicate it, so will Jason’s exit simply be this trip with Britt, or will he depart another way?

That’s hard to say, but it still is fun to speculate. There’s no confirmation that Kelly Thiebaud will be going on hiatus with Burton, although anything is possible.

With that said, what if Britt and Jason leave town, only for Britt to return, sans Jason? Carly will lose her ever-loving mind if this happens!

Britt already rubs Carly the wrong way, although there has never been a romantic interest of Jason’s that Carly liked, right?

Still, Laura Wright recently told SOD that the real reason that Britt irks Carly, now more than ever, is the fact that Jason didn’t quite keep Carly in the loop about Britt being alive, or his 5 Poppies Rescue mission.

So, imagine how irate Carly would be when Britt arrives back in the little town without Jason in tow?

One major point of contention with Britt was how Jason always placed Carly and her children before her in their romance.

Jason is going above and beyond to prove that Britt is his number one priority, even sacrificing time with his son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).

This is especially interesting since Danny just lost his mom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), less than two years ago.

Jason is all Danny has now, and some people may say that it is highly irresponsible of Jason to embark on such a mission and leave his son, all in the name of Britt.

If Jason doesn’t return, and Britt does, Carly will see red. There’s bad blood between these two ladies as it is, so this will only intensify their feud.

Carly won’t think twice about blasting Britt for her selfishness in not only taking Jason away from his loved ones, but being the reason he’s “gone”.

She’ll also point out that Danny is now an orphan, thanks to Britt.

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Steve Burton will depart from storylines in late March but is set to return sometime in July; however, it’ll be a long three months before his comeback for both Carly and Britt if Jason is presumed dead.
