General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) Baby Jane adoption could be torn

to pieces once the child’s biological father comes forward. All arrows are pointing toward the couple adopting the baby and bringing it into the Quartermaine fold,

so let’s talk about the potential plot twist that is headed their way. As fans know, Brook Lynn and Chase have been struggling to start a family. Their first obstacle

was realizing that Chase could not father a child. Once they decided on adoption, their second stumble was the reveal of Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) being Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) child.

The fact that Brook Lynn placed Gio up for adoption as a teen mom was a massive bombshell, and as Gio took this truth hard, BLQ believed it would be best to hold off adoption plans until things settled.

Well, now that Gio and Brook Lynn have established a mother-son bond, the woman recently gave Chase the greenlight for their adoption.

Then, literally days later, after meeting with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), the next shoe dropped.

The couple was out on a romantic stroll earlier this week and found Delilah (Lily Cardone), unconscious, near a park bench.

Something mysterious happened to the very pregnant woman, and while she didn’t want to go to the hospital, Brook Lynn and Chase insisted that she get checked out.

Unfortunately, Delilah passed away after an emergency C-section was called. Baby Jane was delivered, revived, and is stable, but sadly, her mother passed away.

There was a lot of internal bleeding around her stomach, and despite the efforts of the hospital staff, there was nothing more they could do.

Delilah asked Brook Lynn to accompany her into the room while getting checked out, initially, and BLQ promised her, while holding her hand, that everything would be okay.

While Brook Lynn knew the woman for a very short time, the two bonded, and now she is devastated by what has happened.

During the Thursday, March 5 episode, Chase and Brook Lynn made a vow to find Baby Jane’s family and watch over her until she can be reunited with loved ones.

It’s not hard to see where this is going, as Delilah and the circumstances that led her to pass out near that park bench remain a mystery.

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) looked through the woman’s purse and found nothing that could lead them to an emergency contact.

It’ll likely be months before anyone comes forward for Baby Jane.

This will offer more than enough time for Brook Lynn and Chase to bond with the baby and decide to adopt her.

After all, they are a childless couple who are desperate to raise a family; out of the blue, a baby arrives who is in dire need of parents to love her.

Still, this is the land of soaps, so nothing is ever neatly wrapped in a bow.

It may be months, or close to a year, but eventually, Baby Jane’s dad – or Delilah’s family – will step forward to claim the child.

There’s also a good chance that the baby’s family has a link to Port Charles. Was Delilah the long-lost daughter of someone who lives in the little town?

Could the father be an established character on canvas?

There will be hints of this along the way, and viewers will likely find out about Baby Jane’s parentage before Brook Lynn or Chase.

Either way, General Hospital spoilers suggest that while BLQ and Chase may be on the road to finally becoming parents, their dreams of having a family could be shattered when Baby Jane’s blood relatives surface.
