We’ve been waiting for this moment on Days of Our Lives for a long time. In fact, ever since we met Sophia’s mom, Amy, we’ve been oh so curious about the rest of her family. And now we finally get to meet Sophia’s dad, Jason Choi! Is he as strict as his wife? Why haven’t we seen him despite all Sophia’s been through?

Well, this Thursday, May 14th, we may finally get those answers — and a whole lot more! Days of Our Lives has tapped Stephen Oyoung to play Amy’s husband, and he’s first showing up on the same day that the heartbroken mom goes after Holly. We know Amy is blaming Holly for her daughter’s supposed suicide, but will Jason talk his wife down, or encourage her to keep pushing back until she gets answers?

Though this is Oyoung’s first daytime role, chances are pretty good that you may recognize him already. The actor began his career in Hollywood as a stunt and fight coordinator, before going on to appear in such blockbusters like Terminator: Dark Fate, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Twisters and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Plus, he’s made a ton of TV appearances, from Castle to Grey’s Anatomy. And for the geekier fans, he’s popped up in the Star Wars TV franchise not once, but twice, in The Book of Bobba Fett and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew!

Of course, back in Salem, it is a bit late in the game for Sophia’s dad to show up now that she’s (allegedly) dead. (Hey, we still haven’t seen a body.) But even if that’s true, we know that apart from mom and dad, Sophia had brothers, as well. In other words, while Sophia may be gone, the Chois still live on. And one way or another, her story is far from over!

In the end, we don’t see Amy ever letting this go until she gets answers – and that’s if Kristen’s own guilt doesn’t get to her first! Throw in Jason Choi and who knows where this will end up.
