Virgin River has added Mitchell Slaggert to its growing Season 8 cast lineup.

The actor will portray Eddie, a charismatic EMT described as a “laidback charmer” who brings emotional depth to the Netflix drama. Character details suggest Eddie will become an important new presence within the town’s close-knit community.

Slaggert previously appeared in HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 and has steadily built momentum across both television and film projects.

Season 8 began production April 22 in Vancouver and is expected to wrap in August. Netflix has ordered 10 episodes for the upcoming installment, which is currently targeting an early 2027 premiere.

The new casting comes amid several notable cast exits, including Lauren Hammersley and Marco Grazzini. Despite those departures, returning leads Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson continue to anchor the series.

Patrick Sean Smith remains onboard as showrunner.
