Savannah Chrisley Shares Emotional Video From Dad Todd Chrisley’s Prison Release

Weeks after the Chrisley Knows Best star and his wife Julie Chrisley were pardoned by President Donald Trump and released from prison, their 27-year-old daughter shared a video of their sweet reunion in celebration of his first Father’s Day back home.

“Father’s Day looks a little different these days,” Savannah captioned a June 15 Instagram video of the two embracing each other as he leaves Federal Prison Camp Pensacola behind. “I sure do love you daddy!!”

After all, Savannah advocated for her parents’ release until Todd and Julie—who were initially set to be released from prison in 2032 and 2028, respectively—were pardoned of their convictions relating to wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

“Obviously, the biggest misconception right now is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon of something,” Savannah told the media alongside Todd during a press conference in Nashville last month, “that’s the biggest misconception right now.”

“If people knew the countless hours and the money and the time that I spent going to D.C.,” she continued, “literally with not a meeting scheduled, and I just got on a plane and went and said, ‘I’m going to be in the right room at the right time and meet the right people.'”

During the family press conference that same day, Savannah and Todd also publicly detailed their commitment to fighting against the prior convictions that “should not have happened,” as well as the “injustices” that exist within the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Prisons.

“I want to thank first and foremost, my Lord and Savior, because that’s who got me through it,” Todd said at the time. “I want to thank President Trump. I want to thank the administration. I want to thank Alice [Marie] Johnson. I want to thank every person that has prayed for us, that has stayed in the fight and that fought for the truth to come out, and so I am grateful for it.”

As for how Julie, who was noticeably missing from the press conference, had been during this public reunion? Well, she prioritized spending some quality time with their adopted daughter Chloe Chrisley.

“Julie—who is a wonderful, decent, God fearing woman that I am blessed to have been married to and been with for over 30 years now, an excellent mother—she’s at home with Chloe right now,” Todd noted. “Chloe will not let her go. We’re blessed to have our family back.”

And nearly a week after the reality stars’ release, Savannah shared insight into what her parents’ first days back at home looked like.

“Yesterday was really fun,” Savannah said on a June 3 episode of her Unlocked podcast, which she recorded two days after her parents’ release. “I cooked dinner for my entire family. I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes—we had a smorgasbord. My parents enjoyed it and loved it.”
