Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers confirm that former General Hospital (GH) Sofia Mattsson, who played Sasha Gilmore, is heading to the land of Salem in an unknown role.

According to reports, she’s already started filming on the Peacock soap; however, the details surrounding the character she’s playing, her storyline, and other actors/actresses

she may be filming with have yet to be revealed. With that said, what fans can expect is to see Mattsson on Days sometime in early 2027.

While she’s currently shooting scenes, as the show tapes several months ahead of broadcast, it’ll be a hot minute until Days of Our Lives viewers see Mattson in storylines.

Mattsson was much loved by General Hospital fans during her seven-year run on the ABC soap.

She entered the canvas in 2018, playing con woman, Sasha Gilmore, who was hired by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to pretend to be Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) long-lost daughter.

Still, Sasha eventually evolved into a heroine over the years, thanks to her love stories with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Brandon Corbin (Johnny Wactor).

Mattsson left GH storylines in July 2025 due to safety concerns surrounding her newborn, Daisy Gilmore’s (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford).

The infant was being stalked by someone unknown, even though viewers knew the person doing this was Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).

Daisy’s father, Michael, approved of Sasha’s decision and helped her leave Port Charles.

Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) accompanied Sasha and Daisy to an undisclosed location so Sasha could be with her parents, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

With Robert’s exit storyline and GH tribute shows for the late Tristan Rogers on the horizon, it seems there’s a minimal chance that Sofia Mattsson will be participating in this; however, the show could decide to recast Sasha, so only time will tell.

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that General Hospital’s loss is DOOL’s gain, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of character Mattsson plays, and who her potential love interest will be in Salem.
