Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) recently made an important decision that’ll affect her future. Although Paulina knows

there’s a chance Abe Carver (James Reynolds) could go back to Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford), she ultimately couldn’t stand in the way of EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) lab experiment.

Paulina finally determined that if it was meant for Lexie to live, then that’s what would happen. Since Paulina is willing to let this play out and see if Lexie fully awakens, she’s taking some huge risks.

Paulina could end up facing a divorce shocker depending on how things play out.

There are at least four reasons why Paulina’s heart may break, so let’s talk about them.

1) Paulina and Abe have already had DiMera-related tension in recent months

Days fans may recall that Abe and Paulina already struggled with some DiMera-related friction.

Since Paulina supported Theo Carver’s (Tyler Joseph Andrews) ability to make his own choices and follow his own path, Abe basically viewed that as a DiMera CEO endorsement.

Although Abe and Paulina worked through that tension, their previous drama may have set the stage for the next round of conflict in their marriage.

2) Paulina is lying to Abe about something huge that affects Theo, too

EJ insisted Paulina shouldn’t breathe a word to Abe and Theo since they shouldn’t get their hopes up too soon.

Since EJ can’t guarantee the experiment will be a success, he thinks it’s best to wait until Lexie is fully awake to say anything.

Paulina is willing to keep her mouth shut, but Days spoilers suggest that could be a massive mistake.

Abe may be angry with Paulina when he realizes she’s been sitting on this secret, even if the outcome is ultimately a good thing.

Since Paulina is lying to both Abe and Theo, that’s not going to do her marriage any favors ahead of the Lexie love triangle that’s brewing.

Abe may insist Paulina should’ve told him the truth immediately and struggle to trust her again as a result.

3) Part of Abe will always love Lexie

Of course, we also have to acknowledge that part of Abe will always love Lexie.

Although Abe moved on and found happiness with Paulina, Lexie was perhaps the one true love of his life.

Abe will understandably feel pulled back in Lexie’s direction once her survival comes to light.

Paulina may have to watch as her husband slips away right before her very eyes.

4) There’s more DOOL drama if Abe goes back to Lexie for a while

As painful as it’ll be for Paulina, there’ll be more drama if Abe goes back to Lexie for a while than if he stays committed to his current wife.

It’s a no-brainer for Days to reunite Abe and Lexie for a bit, even if he ends up back with Paulina later on.

Nikki Crawford isn’t sticking around permanently, so it’s possible Lexie will face a more final grim fate down the road.

Then again, Lexie might just leave for a Doctors Without Borders gig or something along those lines.

Whatever the case, Paulina and Abe seem to be endgame, but she’s going to suffer some heartache in the meantime!

A divorce is an option to consider, so Paulina will definitely worry as her marriage crisis hits hard.
