Newest Update!! General Hospital Spoilers: Chase Turns to Congresswoman Willow for Help with Baby Jane Adoption?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may turn to his new congresswoman friend, Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), for help with Baby Jane’s adoption.
While he and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) are nowhere near the idea of adopting the child, as Baby Jane has no known relatives, they are bound to start thinking about this.
After all, Brook Lynn grew very attached to the child’s mom in a short amount of time. The duo found a very pregnant Delilah (Lily Cardone), unconscious near a park bench during
an evening stroll, and took immediate action. They rushed the woman to the hospital, despite her insisting that nothing was wrong.
When Delilah asked Brook Lynn to head into the hospital room with her while she got examined, BLQ did not hesitate and held the expectant mom’s hand during the entire thing – until she was told to leave.
As fans know, Delilah required an emergency C-section, and as Baby Jane fought for her life, Delilah lost hers shortly after giving birth.
Now there are major question marks where Baby Jane’s father is concerned, and Delilah’s extended family.
At this point, as Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was unable to find any identification for Delilah in her purse, there’s even some mystery if she’s who she claimed she was.
Chase and Brook Lynn made a vow to watch over the child until the baby’s family was found, but most General Hospital fans can see where this is going.
Brook Lynn and Chase just recently agreed to move forward with adopting a child of their own, since Chase is unable to father a baby for the couple.
They had just asked Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to start the process before they stumbled upon Delilah.
As BLQ and Chase are emotionally invested in Baby Jane, and there’s no family around, the newborn may end up in their care, and it’ll only take weeks for the couple to bond with the baby.
Leads regarding Baby Jane’s family will likely pop up over the next few weeks, but they may all hit dead ends.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Brook Lynn and Chase will eventually decide to adopt the little girl, but they could hit some roadblocks as Baby Jane doesn’t have any relatives around to relinquish their rights.
Maybe the couple needs a document signed by an official – or something along those lines – to move forward with the adoption?
Then again, Willow may have the authority, via her congressional duties, to sign a motion that allows Brook Lynn and Chase to adopt Baby Jane, despite her parents and family not being around.
Regardless, if Chase needs something “official”, he may turn to Willow and cash in on this favor.
After all, he crossed many lines to clear her name in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, so she owes him one, right?
General Hospital spoilers imply there’s a ton of mystery ahead where Delilah and her baby are concerned, so it’ll be interesting to see how this storyline unravels!
