Coronation Street has kicked off another mystery in recent scenes, with Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) receiving a visit from a mysterious stranger.

Things seem to be going well for Alya, both professionally and personally. Her relationship with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is in a good place and their business is thriving – but is this set to last?

Alya Nazir is hiding something

In tonight’s episode, Alya and Adam treated themselves to dinner at Speed Daal, where Adam suggested that they book a holiday.

Despite the positive atmosphere, Alya seemed distracted as she received a text on her phone. Even more concerning, she immediately turned the screen away and hid the communication from Adam.

And it soon became clear that whoever was trying to contact her wasn’t going to give up easily, when Alya approached a parked car.

However, Alya was just as determined to stick to her guns and wasted no time in shutting down her visitor, by insisting that she had nothing to say to them.

She warned them to leave her alone before storming off – but will they listen, and what is their intention?

We’ve seen Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) face a terrifying situation with stalker Mal Roper (Tim Treolar), which landed him in hospital. Could Alya be set to face a similar ordeal?

Bernie kept her interactions with Mal a secret from husband Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), but will Adam remain in the dark?

He’s currently dealing with his own issues in the form of troublesome neighbour Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), who has infuriated Adam by refusing to clean up after David the Dog’s bathroom breaks.

We can forgive Adam for being distracted in tonight’s episode given that an unknown – though we can take a confident guess – person had left a doggy bag on his car bonnet.

But will Adam remain oblivious to Alya’s shifty behaviour and unexpected visitor, or could he be set to catch on?

In upcoming scenes, Alya is set to meet up with her old boss from Fabian’s, the firm she worked for that has since been losing clients, much to Adam’s delight.

But what is it that he wants from Alya, and how would Adam react knowing that the pair have met up?
