Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a familiar face is making a comeback. On Instagram, the show confirmed that AlexAnn Hopkins is reprising her role

as Joy Wesley and that she’ll be back on-screen in the near future. DOOL fans may recall that Joy was facing a bit of a dilemma when she left town.

Joy got her pregnancy results, but she obviously didn’t want to blow up Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) reunion with Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein).

Stephanie and Alex were relieved when Joy insisted it was a false alarm, but she didn’t tell the truth!

Days viewers saw the actual results, which were positive and proved Joy indeed had a bun in the oven.

That was back in March 2025, so Joy went through her whole pregnancy off-screen if she kept the baby as expected.

It’s a classic soapy move that should lead to Alex getting blindsided by a baby revelation soon.

Of course, the show didn’t spill any plot details in their return announcement.

This news was more about confirming Hopkins’ return and revealing her first airdate, which will be on April 24.

“She’s back!! What trouble will Joy be getting into this time? Beginning April 24th, stay tuned!” Days’ Instagram account teased.

AlexAnn Hopkins also greeted fans in the accompanying video and encouraged everyone to tune in for Joy’s upcoming storyline.

“Surprise!” Hopkins said. “I’m back! You thought Joy was gone? She’s back in Salem. To find out why, you’ll have to tune into Peacock.”

It seems like a no-brainer that Joy is returning to deliver some baby drama, especially now that Alex and Stephanie have tied the knot.

Days already has another crisis lined up for Stephanie and Alex once this kidnapping chaos winds down.

Will Joy come back to town because she feels guilty for keeping Alex’s child from him?

Could the baby have some sort of health issue that leads to Joy coming clean instead?

Whatever the case, it’ll be great to see AlexAnn Hopkins back as Joy Wesley, particularly since she’s bound to bring some baby mayhem with her.
