also had a date that ended in horror, so here’s how all the GH action went down. At the PCPD, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) was summoned and confirmed

there was no way Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) could’ve gotten a key to Drew’s place as far as he knew.

ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) fumed over the dead end once Kai was gone and assumed Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) planted the key on Michael’s keychain.

However, nothing could be proven when it came to all the key drama, so Justine let Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) know this was now a cold case.

Meanwhile, a photographer snapped pics of Drew in his wheelchair next to Willow as she took over his office.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) also showed up and questioned Willow about whether she’d use her position to settle her own scores, but Willow insisted she would focus on serving her constituents.

After Ezra Boyle (temporarily played by Patrick Scott Lewis) arrived, Laura stepped outside with him and acted like it was too soon for him to be pushing Sidwell’s agenda on Willow.

Ezra suggested Laura shouldn’t make things difficult considering what happened to Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and urged her to keep Willow as well as herself out of harm’s way.

Although Ezra was on Sidwell’s payroll, he acknowledged that he’d been forced to do things he didn’t want to do and was in deeper than he’d anticipated.

Back in Willow’s new office, she spoke with Kai about his PCPD visit and ultimately asked him to stay on staff now that she was taking over for Drew.

Ezra and Laura ultimately met with Willow, who listened to Ezra’s pitch about wealthy Sidwell and his connections being beneficial.

Laura tried to steer Willow away from the idea, which earned her another private lecture from Ezra.

Willow privately told Drew that her plan to get full custody of the kids wasn’t working out like she expected since the cops were no longer going after Michael.

However, Willow thought maybe that was good news since the more the cops looked for evidence, the more things could point to her.

Besides, Willow was eager to concentrate on her new role as Congresswoman Cain.

GH Spoilers August 12: Drew Finally Comes Face-to-Face With Willow

At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) grilled Brook Lynn about Chase’s conflict with Michael and had lingering concerns about whether he planted that key.

Nevertheless, Brook Lynn believed Chase’s story and that he’d honor his promise to put their adoption plans first.

In the foyer, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) called Chase out for making Willow more of a priority than Brook Lynn.

Chase denied that, but Ned still thought he was putting Brook Lynn in a terrible situation with all this Michael conflict since he was her family.

After Chase decided to fix things, he surprised Brook Lynn by announcing that he was taking her on a date.

Once Brook Lynn and Chase headed off, Tracy voiced her fears to Ned about how manipulative Willow could be.

Since Chase had been finding interesting spots while being a beat cop again, he took Brook Lynn for a walk somewhere new.

Brook Lynn eventually saw something in the distance and was visibly shocked as she cried out.

Next, Trina showed up at the house Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) had decided to put on the market.

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) came to help with the listing, so Trina was overwhelmed by how fast this was happening.

Curtis wound up eavesdropping on Portia’s pep talk for Trina, so he got nostalgic when it was time to sign the papers and pumped the brakes with Lucy.

As for Trina, she’d stepped outside to talk to Kai by then.

Kai brought Trina up to speed on the police questioning him about Michael’s key access, so they contemplated the idea that Willow might’ve planted one on him.

Trina thought it was good that Kai had turned in his resignation, but he revealed that he’d accepted Willow’s offer to let him stay on staff.

Kai wanted to watch over Drew and keep an eye on Willow, but Trina didn’t approve of that plan at all.

Over with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), she showed off the new Charlie’s Pub renovations to Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) and Michael.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was also there as the person behind those renovations.

Kristina found out from the others that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had named Willow as Drew’s successor instead of Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), which didn’t make any sense to her.

Kristina privately vented to Sonny about Willow and worried Michael would lose the kids if he was prosecuted, but Sonny made it clear that he was on top of things.

Once Dante called, Michael headed down to the police station and learned the Drew shooting investigation wasn’t continuing.

Although Michael couldn’t be proven guilty, Dante acknowledged he might always be under suspicion in the public’s eyes.

After Sonny called ADA Turner to meet with him at Charlie’s Pub, she let him know the Drew investigation had officially gone cold.

Justine suggested Sonny could stop feigning interest in her, but he insisted that he wasn’t pretending.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Justine will keep up their delicate dance
