BREAKING NEWS : Jodie’s new victim confirmed in Coronation Street as she plots revenge
Rule one for surviving in Coronation Street – don’t upset Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown). This girl is all about revenge, and she’s already found her next target…
Forgiveness does not come naturally to Jodie. The only reason she’s on the Cobbles in the first place is because of her secret vendetta against her half-sister Shona (Julia Goulding),
who she blames for fleeing the family home and leaving her with their abusive parents. What does Jodie do? Have a strong word with Shona? Book family counselling?
She just doesn’t stop
Don’t be silly. This is Corrie. She goes full cuckoo in the nest to infiltrate the Platts and turn Shona’s husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and daughter Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) against her in an unhinged mission to steal her family.
The scheming newcomer may act all sweetness and light to Shona’s face but don’t be fooled. Jodie is playing a long game. A crazy, crazy long game.
It’s not just Shona that Jodie’s gunning for. Given she’s barely been in the show five minutes, this nefarious new girl has a list of enemies so long it would put Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) to shame. She placed her toxic father Doug (Steve Evetts) in a care home and threatened him not to mess with her or her ‘new family’.
For reasons that remain a mystery, she broke into Bernie Winters’ (Jane Hazelgrove) flat to cut her head out of her wedding pictures, framing Mal Roper (Tim Treloar) for the crime. She also stole a rare book from Brian Packham’s collection to add to her mysterious ‘trinket box’ full of keepsakes with cryptic links to her past.
Fans have theorised that these are mementos from past victims who were unlucky enough to cross Jodie in some way. Whatever the true reason, this woman is not to be messed with.
Shame Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) never got that memo.
The smooth-talking, occasionally villainous lawyer is about to get on the wrong side of Weatherfield’s newest bunny boiler when Jodie commits her worst crime yet – not bagging up her poop.
Not hers, obviously. That would be too weird even for Corrie. I’m talking about David the Dog, the Platt family pup. Jodie literally does not give a crap as she lets the little rascal do his business all over the street during walkies.
It’s already put Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) nose out of joint, but the worst Jodie’s given her so is a nasty glare. But when Adam objects to Jodie failing to pick up after her pooch, he’s in for far worse as the raging Miss Ramsay soon resorts to playing dirty…
When Adam spots Jodie walking the dog, he gives her a lecture about the importance of cleaning up dog muck. Jodie paints on a smile, but inside she’s seething…
Later, Adam’s finally had enough when he sees David the Dog cocking his leg on Adam’s new car. He’s furious, but Jodie doesn’t take him seriously. Thus begins Poopgate…
In the café, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) gets involved in the dispute when she spies the dog behind the counter and threatens to report Jodie to environmental health.
Meanwhile, Adam suggests to girlfriend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) they reward themselves for all their hard work and book a holiday. But when Adam heads out, he makes a grim discovery on the street.
What’s Jodie done?
