Newest Update!! On Home and Awa*, Bree reels after discovering Remi’s secret affair with Avalon.
Summer Bay is rocked this week on Home and Away as Remi’s downward spiral reaches a breaking point — and Bree is left blindsided by a betrayal she never saw coming.
What begins as mounting career pressure and emotional insecurity quickly escalates into drug use, deception, and ultimately an affair that could destroy one of
the Bay’s most passionate couples. Remi has been juggling more than he can handle. As producer of Kirby’s highly anticipated debut album while simultaneously collaborating
with chart-topping artist Avalon Bracken on her own project, the musician has been burning the candle at both ends. Exhausted and overwhelmed, Remi found himself struggling to keep pace — desperate not to let anyone down.
Enter Avalon.
Sensing his fatigue during late-night studio sessions, Avalon offered him what she described as her “secret weapon” for staying sharp: a small sachet of drugs. Though Remi initially resisted, the pressure to deliver Kirby’s album on time ultimately pushed him over the edge. In a hotel room, racing against the clock, he gave in.
The consequences were immediate.
On the night of Kirby’s album launch at Salt, Remi was nowhere to be found. Sonny eventually discovered him unconscious at home, an empty sachet lying beside him. After a frantic cold shower and a rushed delivery of the album’s final files, Sonny covered for him by claiming a hard drive failure — saving the launch but not the cracks forming beneath the surface.
Bree, however, wasn’t convinced.
Sensing something deeper was wrong, she grew increasingly suspicious. Sonny, deeply concerned, planned to tell Bree the truth about Remi’s drug use. But Remi intervened, aggressively shutting him down before he could speak. Bree misinterpreted the confrontation as jealousy — assuming lingering tension between Sonny and herself was to blame. The misunderstanding gave Remi temporary cover.
Behind closed doors, Remi promised Sonny it was a one-time mistake. No more drugs. No more secrets. Sonny reluctantly agreed to stay silent.
But the emotional strain was far from over.
Kirby soon received life-changing news: an invitation to support major band The Chosen on a six-week European tour — an offer that quickly expanded into a year-long world tour. The opportunity of a lifetime meant leaving Summer Bay indefinitely.
While Eden and Remi congratulated her, the celebrations were bittersweet. Privately, both admitted feeling left behind. Remi, in particular, struggled with a sense of stagnation. He had produced the album launching Kirby’s global career — yet his own future felt uncertain.
That night, the trio returned to their share house and performed “Explosions on the Brain,” the first song they ever played together in the Bay. The nostalgia, instead of comforting Remi, deepened his insecurity. Watching Kirby move forward forced him to confront his own doubts.
And he ran from them.
Remi returned to Avalon’s party — the temptation of distraction proving stronger than responsibility. The following morning, as friends gathered to farewell Kirby, Remi was missing once again. Bree was forced to cover for him, claiming traffic delays while panic mounted.
Sonny’s instincts led him straight to Avalon’s address.
Inside Avalon’s home, Remi listened to Kirby’s heartfelt voicemail goodbye. Avalon offered sympathy — understanding how it felt to watch the world move on without you. When Sonny arrived and spotted another empty sachet, accusations flew. Remi denied using again, angrily insisting it was none of Sonny’s business.
Back in Summer Bay, Sonny finally told Eden the truth about the earlier overdose. Fearful for their friend, Eden demanded to confront him.
But Remi wasn’t ready to face reality.
Overwhelmed by guilt and insecurity, he considered leaving Avalon’s place to deal with the fallout. Avalon instead urged him to stay — to avoid the chaos waiting outside. When she kissed him, Remi hesitated for only a moment before giving in.
That hesitation would cost him everything.
This week, viewers learn the truth: Remi and Avalon slept together.
The fallout is swift and explosive. Sonny returns to Avalon’s house with Eden, and they walk in on Remi dressing. Eden is horrified — not only at the drug use but at the betrayal of Bree. Sonny, torn between anger and concern, demands answers. Remi appears lost, disconnected, spiraling further into recklessness.
Actor Adam Rowland has described Remi’s behavior as less self-sabotage and more emotional paralysis — a man overwhelmed, not thinking clearly. But intent may matter little when the damage is done.
Determined to honor his promise of honesty with Bree, Remi prepares to confess.
The question now gripping Summer Bay is how Bree will respond.
Bree has stood by Remi through career frustrations and emotional turbulence. She defended him when others doubted him. But discovering he not only relapsed into dangerous behavior but also sought comfort in another woman could be unforgivable.
The betrayal cuts deeper because it stems from vulnerability. Avalon didn’t simply tempt Remi professionally — she stepped into the emotional void he felt as Kirby’s departure highlighted his own fears of irrelevance.
Yet sympathy may not equal absolution.
As Remi braces to face Bree, the future of their relationship hangs by a thread. Can love survive broken trust? Or has Remi’s moment of weakness permanently altered the course of their story?
In true Home and Away fashion, the drama is as much about internal battles as external ones. Remi’s spiral reflects the pressures of ambition, insecurity, and identity — but the emotional casualties may be irreversible.
For Bree, the coming days will force a painful choice: fight for the man she loves, or walk away from someone who has betrayed her in the worst possible way.
Summer Bay is about to witness the fallout — and nothing will be the same.
