BREAKING NEWS : Jodie’s next victim confirmed in Coronation Street – and it’s a soap legend

Sometimes a look can speak a thousand words. In this case, a hate-filled death glare from scary bunny-boiler Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown)

can only mean bad news for one beloved Coronation Street resident… It didn’t take Jodie long to establish her bad-girl credentials. From the moment she escaped

from Emmerdale supervillain Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) van, the sinister newcomer has been hell-bent on causing trouble for her half-sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding),

who she blames for abandoning her to their abusive father as a child.

Her twisted vendetta has been focused on sabotaging Shona to make her look like a bad mum to her kids and a bad wife to David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), pouring poison into the ear of their daughter Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) and deliberately getting Shona drunk just to cause problems in her marriage.

Meanwhile, the conniving little madam has been acting as sweet as pie to David and jumping at the chance to get close to him.

Worse still, she fabricated an abusive partner to explain her mysterious bruises, even going so far as to attend a support group for domestic abuse survivors just so she could make her story convincing.

Most horrifyingly of all, Jodie has been getting very flirty with cheating sleazebag Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard). Is their no depths this woman will not sink?

Maybe not. Just don’t go saying that to her face. One thing Coronation Street Viewers have learned in the past few weeks is that when Jodie glares daggers in your direction, you may as well destroy your own life and save time.

The Ramsay sisters’ recent reunion with estranged dad Doug (Steve Evets) revealed a terrifying side to Jodie. A permanent resident of a psychiatric facility, Doug was visibly distressed around his youngest daughter, branding her ‘a liar’ and warning Shona to stay away. Whilst Jodie claims to have been left to care for their dad after their mum disappeared and put his outburst down to his illness, a moment alone between their pair told a different story.

Jodie has decided she can turn David’s attention away from Shona and onto her

Coronation Street character Jodie Ramsey looking deep in thought while standing in the Platt household.

The character resents her sister, who left the family home when she was a teenager

She told her dad in no uncertain terms that she has a new family now, and made a chilling threat. ‘Don’t you dare mess this up for me. You know what happens when we fall out. Doesn’t work out very well for you, does it?’ This led to mass online speculation that Jodie has been abusing her father.

If that’s the case, then any potential enemy that stumbles into her psycho path should be very scared indeed. Jodie’s new target? Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor). In upcoming scenes, the Classic Cobbles character will run afoul of the scheming Ramsay sister and make herself one dangerous enemy – all because of dog poo!

Whilst Jodie is out walking David the Dog, Toyah berates her for failing to clear up the pup’s poo and gives her a lecture about being a responsible pet owner. As Toyah heads off, Jodie shoots her the kind of evils that can only mean one thing – revenge!

Is Toyah in danger?

Executive Producer Kate Brooks has already revealed in an interview that Jodie is here Jodie is on the street to set the cat among the pigeons and cause chaos for the Cobbles residents ‘She’s a really interesting character. She’s a bit of a troublemaker, she’s got a bit of mischief in her eyes. All is not what it seems with Jodie and there’s a lot of layers to her. I think the audience are going to have a lot of fun unravelling who this person is, who Jodie is as a character and what she wants as well.

‘Keep an eye on her because there’s lots of secrets to explode and she’s going to bring an awful lot of drama to the Platt household.’

It’s ironic that Toyah came to blows with Jodie over poo. It looks like she’s about to be neck deep in it…
