Eli’s back in Salem and officially partnering up with Rafe. (And that’s just the start.) He confirms that Dimitri’s “fingerprints and DNA” were all over the tablet

and the bedroom. Er, what DNA was on a tablet? Rafe figures Vivian was planning on using Dimitri as a way into Stefano’s money after Stefan died.

Unfortunately, she’s vanished once again, so there are no more answers. Rafe’s thinking Stefan didn’t sign the divorce papers, and if he didn’t, Gabi’s his widow

and she’ll inherit a decent chunk of the DiMera fortune now that Stefano’s officially declared dead.

Alex Baits Jeremy

Julie breaks the news to Jeremy that she couldn’t stop the police from putting a tail on him, so he heads out in a huff. After he’s gone, Eli visits and, after some teasing, thrills his grandmother with the news that he and Lani are moving back! The FBI is partnering him up with Rafe after Alamainia.

Meanwhile, Alex and Stephanie get their marriage certificate to upset the stalker and celebrate with Jada in her apartment. Alex, though, goes out to the Pub, where he sees Jeremy and figures it’s the perfect time to pick a fight! Jeremy doesn’t take the bait, but the testosterone is out of control.

Threats are thrown around, lapels are grabbed and Jeremy mockingly toasts to Alex and Stephanie’s engagement and says he’s getting the hell out of Salem. Alex gets in his face all over again, then when Jeremy insists he did nothing, declares he lost his appetite and stalks out.

Stephanie Wants to Marry Alex Now

Stephanie, meanwhile, posts the photo they took to the wedding website and all is set up for Jeremy to take the bait! Also, she’s starting to think maybe they should elope for real. So much for a long engagement.

If they run to Chicago on Valentine’s Day and give Jeremy the slip, she’d have the same wedding day as her parents! Jada’s in. But their celebration is cut short when Alex gets back, all angry and riled up.

Gabi ‘Hires’ Gwen

Leo’s back in his room and it doesn’t take long for Dimitri to show up at his door again. Dimitri finally gets that he’s coming on way, way too strong, so he invites Leo to drinks just to talk. And go on a date.

Gabi spots Gwen in the square and offers to buy her a drink — since she’s broke and all — and breaks out a $50,000 check for her pal. Since Gabi couldn’t deliver on the dress for the wedding, she’s returning the money. Gwen is over the moon! Until she realizes there’s a catch.

Gabi catches her up on Stefan and Vivian, (Gwen’s actually a bit shaken to learn Stefan’s gone) and asks if she can use her Alamainian contacts to find out the truth of Stefan’s captivity. For $50k, Gwen will certainly try! Then Gabi sees Dimitri and Leo coming out of the Inn. When Gwen turns around, Dimitri grabs Leo’s hand.

Does Leo Still Love Dimitri?

Dimitri sits them down at a table in full view of Gwen, then tries honesty with Leo. He’s been laying the bravado on thick because of how much this hurts. He thought about Leo every day while he was trapped, then got back and Leo had moved on.

Yes, Leo, agreed, he had — but after some prodding, he admits there’s a part that still loves Dimitri, and he hates himself for it. After some talk about Marlena telling him to listen to his heart, Dimitri suggests Leo take her advice.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Gabi gets home, but hasn’t been able to bring herself to get a handwriting sample yet for Rafe. She rats Dimitri out, then goes through a box of mementos and pulls out a card from Stefan, declaring Gabi his “happily ever after.”

Alex gives the ladies a rundown. He almost let slip to Jeremy that something was planned, but covered for himself. Jada goes to let Steve know what happened. Jeremy, meanwhile, sits alone in the Pub with his drink and sees the post Stephanie just put up.

Before Leo can say anything, Rafe shows up to arrest Dimitri. Gwen just smiles happily in the background.
