Right now, things are an absolute mess for murder-accused Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) in Emmerdale, and some unwanted news isn’t about to make things any better.

She’s currently in prison facing a double murder charge for the deaths of Anya Berisha (Alia Al-Shabibi) and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) after

evidence was planted to make her look guilty. DC Walsh certainly believes she is guilty, and prepares to throw the absolute book at her. Moira’s not having

an easy time of it in prison either, having already scored herself a black eye and an enemy within the first five minutes.

How much more can she take?

‘Every time Cain comes to see me, I’ve got a different bruise on me. But she’s like it’s fine, don’t worry about it. It’s the way it is in here, you know that,’ Natalie J Robb revealed, hinting that she’s in for a rough time inside.

On the outside, her husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is facing death and she has no idea – he’s been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.

And still, the bad news keeps on coming.

Moira receives a surprise visitor in prison – Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) shows up with some papers in need of Moira’s signature. Moira is not overly amused to learn that she and Robert (Ryan Hawley) are selling the farm and Victoria needs Moira’s signature to agree the sale.

Moira is completely taken aback – Vic tells her it’s because it’s become impossible to manage, and Moira begins to soften to the idea and prepares to sign as she reads what she perceives to be resignation on Victoria’s face. Really, it’s guilt.

But before the ink touches the paper, Moira learns the crucial information that the Tates intend to buy the farm. Will that change everything?

What Moira doesn’t yet know is that Victoria is under duress. Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has a video of Victoria killing her brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and he has threatened the siblings with going straight to the police if they don’t sell him what he wants.

He is a good part of the reason Moira is in prison – he forced Robert to plant incriminating evidence on Moira’s farm that led to her arrest.

So not only is Moira helpless and being fitted for a crime she didn’t commit, Joe is making sure he takes everything else she has too. What will Moira do when she learns the truth?

Natalie J Robb has already revealed that her character isn’t going anywhere, having signed a new contract, so that suggests perhaps that Moira will have her day in court, and Joe Tate’s days might be numbered.
