some pre-wedding drama for her daughter as well as Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)? Back when B&B released their fall preview spoilers for 2025,

there were some hints about someone from Daphne’s past shaking things up. That led to speculation that a relative of Daphne’s might come to town.

Of course, that ultimately didn’t pan out, but it could still happen!

If the story got pushed back a bit, then fans could still see someone from Daphne’s history now that 2026 is underway.

That’s especially true since Carter and Daphne just got engaged.

As the news spreads to Daphne’s family in Paris, some of them may be eager to come meet the man who’s stolen her heart.

Daphne has turned down proposals from other men and told Carter she wasn’t the type of person who needed a relationship to feel fulfilled.

Since Daphne’s family presumably knows all that, her decision to marry Carter may come as a shock.

We could certainly imagine a relative or two popping up to make sure Daphne knows what she’s getting herself into.

Daphne’s mother makes the most sense here, so let’s consider what might happen if she comes to LA ahead of the wedding.

It’s possible Daphne’s mom will be skeptical of Carter’s devotion to Daphne, especially considering his string of failed relationships and the many proposals he’s delivered over the years.

Daphne’s mother might put Carter to the test and try to make sure he’s truly worthy of her daughter.

Then again, Daphne’s mom might be some problematic gold digger who’s eager to find a wealthy Forrester or Spencer to latch onto while she’s in Los Angeles.

We could imagine Daphne’s mother making things complicated in other ways if she tries to seduce someone and lock in a new future of her own.

Regardless, Daphne mentioned having a family waiting for her back in Paris.

Since Daphne has decided against going home, it’s reasonable to think a relative or two might come to her instead – particularly since her wedding day is on the horizon.
