marked the first time Todd and Julie publicly discussed Chloe’s life in detail since reuniting as a family. And what quickly became clear is this: their little girl is no longer so little—and her teenage transformation has arrived with full force.

“She’s 13 now, and she has such a huge personality,” Todd revealed with unmistakable pride. “Her personality is coming out more every day.”

Julie, seated beside him, laughed knowingly. “That teenage personality,” she added, capturing the mix of wonder and whiplash that comes with raising a teenager.

For Todd and Julie, Chloe’s coming-of-age moment is layered with emotion. Chloe—who is the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley and his former partner Angela Johnson—was legally adopted by Todd and Julie in 2016. One of the biggest adjustments? Makeup.

According to Todd, Chloe’s growing interest in beauty sparked a firm but loving boundary-setting moment. “I said, ‘Let me tell you something. You come out of there with a cat eye at 13, I’ll dot the other eye,’” he recalled, half-joking, half-serious. “I said, ‘You’re not painting on eyeliner.’”

Julie, however, took a gentler approach—one rooted in compromise and realism. She admitted that makeup has become “a big thing” in Chloe’s world, and rather than fight it outright, the family chose to guide her through it responsibly.

That’s where Savannah Chrisley stepped in.

Savannah, now 28, played a key role in helping Chloe explore makeup in a way that felt age-appropriate and confidence-building. Julie shared that a recent shopping trip resulted in a complete makeup refresh—for both mother and daughter.

“We got all new makeup for Christmas because her color was off,” Julie explained. “Seven hundred and fifty dollars later… but her makeup looked so good. Savannah showed her how to do it—how to put it on properly. Her skin is beautiful. She doesn’t need it. But she’s 13, and we’re starting to delve into that world.”

For Julie, the experience reinforced a parenting philosophy she’s learned to embrace—especially after everything the family has endured.

“We have to pick our battles,” she said. “She has to be able to experiment. It’s going to be fine. We’re not going to worry about it.”

That balance—between structure and freedom, protection and trust—feels especially meaningful now. Chloe spent some of her most formative years without her parents at home, while Todd and Julie served prison sentences that were later commuted. During that time, Savannah stepped into the role of guardian, taking custody of Chloe and her younger brother Grayson when their parents reported to prison in 2023.

Despite the separation, he couldn’t hide his admiration for the young woman Chloe is becoming.

“She is such a funny kid,” Todd said warmly. “She’s got a good personality. She and I have a good banter back and forth. I love her, and I’ve got a great relationship with her.”
