The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for the week of January 12-16 reveals that Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) and Eric Forrester (John McCook)

will strike a deal while Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) gets stuck in drama and Dylan (Sydney Bullock) gets a new opportunity. After Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)

finishes sweeping Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) off her feet with his marriage proposal, she’ll get on board with creating a family and future together.

While Daphne and Carter celebrate with some passion, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) may pay Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) a visit and warn him away from Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) like Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) asked.

In the meantime, Steffy will give John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) updates on Taylor and Deacon’s growing bond.

It’ll leave Steffy worried about Sheila turning back to the sinister side if this situation spirals out of control.

Over with Eric, he’ll apparently decide retirement just isn’t for him – at least not yet!

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and the others at Forrester Creations pushed Eric out the door before he was ready.

That’s why it’ll be easy for Eric to climb aboard the Logan train.

Katie won’t want to force a father-son rivalry, but Eric will make it clear that he wants to help her out.

If that means riling Ridge and the others up, then so be it.

Eric will decide he has to follow his heart, which will be telling him that he still wants to design and be part of the fashion industry.

Katie will be glad to have Eric’s talent and expertise as she gears up for the launch of her fashion house.

It looks like Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) will ultimately sign a contract with Katie, so she may urge him to work under Eric as a mentor and learn from the best.

Donna will find out about Eric’s decision and will support him despite the drama this is sure to stir up.

In addition to creating conflict between Ridge and Eric, Donna will know it’s going to add to Katie and Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) friction, too.

For now, Brooke and Ridge will get some wonderful news since RJ Forrester (now portrayed by Brayan Nicoletti) will come home for a family reunion.

Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) is family as well since she’s RJ’s cousin, but there’s no blood tie between them since RJ isn’t a biological Forrester.

It seems B&B may take advantage of that technicality and test the chemistry between Electra and RJ in the coming episodes.

As for Dylan, she’ll head to Forrester Creations with Electra and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) for a visit that could lead to a job.

Steffy will seemingly offer Dylan one after she realizes how dire her financial state is.

Dylan will gush about how incredible it’d be to work in the same building with Will and Electra.

However, Electra will no doubt feel like Dylan is starting to insert herself into their lives too much.

Since Electra seems concerned about Dylan’s attraction to Will, having her around more will be an issue.
