General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may drop her Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) revenge plot, but will it be too late to save her relationship with him?

Brennan and Carly’s romance will come with even more complications, so let’s discuss what’s in store. Carly was livid when she realized Brennan recruited Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy)

for the WSB behind her back. Brennan has put Josslyn in grave danger and continues to lie to Carly daily, so it’s easy to see why she turned against him.

However, that doesn’t mean Carly has completely turned her feelings off for Brennan.

In fact, GH fans got a glimpse of those feelings that are clearly still lurking just under the surface of Carly’s rage.

In the December 18 episode, Carly spoke to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and defended Brennan’s genuine desire to keep her safe.

Although Carly’s still angry about the dangerous circumstances for Josslyn, she obviously doesn’t think Brennan is all bad.

That’s especially true now that Valentin has helped Carly see the truth about the dropped racketeering charges.

Carly was taken aback when Valentin suggested Brennan was the one who used his WSB ties to make the video evidence go away.

That realization left Carly looking truly moved over what Brennan had done for her.

Carly also guessed that since Brennan didn’t tell her about it, that meant he didn’t want her to feel like she owed him anything.

Valentin thought that was a “dangerously naïve” view and countered that Brennan was withholding the info until he could make the best use of it.

However, it feels like maybe Carly is starting to see that Brennan is a more layered character than she’s given him credit for.

Brennan is a complex guy with multiple motives in play on any given day.

There have been plenty of other instances when Brennan has stepped up for Carly and her family.

This Josslyn drama doesn’t negate all the favors Brennan’s done and the way he’s cared for Carly.

At some point, Carly may decide to drop this revenge scheme, but that could happen too late!

After all, Carly is already in pretty deep on this payback alliance with Valentin and has been hiding the fugitive Brennan’s after right under his nose.

Even if Carly tries to call off her plans for vengeance, Brennan will inevitably find out what she did and unleash his wrath.

Brennan may turn against Carly anyway, so their romance could be blown to smithereens.
