Biggest bombshell!! The ending to Celia and Ray’s story ‘exposed’ in Emmerdale from murder to escape

Emmerdale villain Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) tells Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in upcoming episodes of the ITV soap that they need to pack up their things and leave the farm.

The duo arrived earlier this year. At first, we didn’t know the two characters were connected. Celia was interacting with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and talking about life running a farm,

while Ray was manipulating April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) into dealing drugs for him. It was April’s brother Leo being rushed to hospital

after consuming some drugs that led her (and us) to discovering who is really in charge of the dealing ring. Celia confirmed her true nature, and we later learnt that she is also Ray’s adoptive mother.

The story has to end eventually

In the months that have followed, we discovered the dark and horrifying lengths Celia was prepared to go to in order to keep her operation hidden. We also learnt that Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has fallen victim to her manipulation, and is still working as a slave on her farm.

In a recent episode, Dylan confronted Ray about what Celia is doing. He said they should go to the police and at first, Ray agreed.

Unfortunately, this was all part of Ray and Celia’s latest plan to silence someone who posed a risk to them.

Ray drove his car right at Dylan and then drugged him after. The young man is still in hospital, and no-one knows what state he’ll be in if he wakes up.

With potential dangers surrounding her, Celia will soon decide to go on the run. She tells son Ray, who isn’t all to keen on the idea of leaving new love interest Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

And when Bear gets word that they’re leaving as well, he wonders what that’ll mean for him if he gets left behind.

But how could this evil duo depart the cobbles?

Let’s take a look at all the possible ways.

They flee

Celia Daniels is definitely leaving

Star Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, has already discussed her character’s plan to up sticks and leg it from Emmerdale. The storyline has allowed us to learn that both Celia and Ray have been in this game a while, so leaving when things get too risky is second nature.

Will they get away with their crimes, leaving a trail of destruction behind them?

‘Celia doesn’t mark Christmas. And this year she is planning on them leaving the area’, Jaye explained.

‘As it has all got too complicated, April’s family are an irritant to her and things are also getting complicated business wise as Moira is becoming troublesome by asking too many questions. But more alarmingly Ray has gone and fallen in love. So she’s extricating them to another area. It is clear that this is something they have done before – find another farm in another location and set up their enterprise again.’

They are both murdered

Multiple people would like to see the back of Celia and Ray

Multiple people all have reason to want Celia and Ray dead. Most notably, there’s Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), who have both been desperately trying to get their family away from Celia, but haven’t been successful so far.

Pushed to the edge, Marlon and Rhona could be capable of anything.

They feel so trapped at the moment, but will their nightmare end, only for a new one to begin if one – or both of them – commit murder?

They both go to prison

Will the police find enough evidence to arrest them?

We’re all hoping Celia and Ray will get their comeuppance, but Marlon and his family need a miracle if the duo are going to get arrested.

He’s previously been told that even if Celia and Ray were taken in for questioning, they’d get released soon after due to the police not having enough evidence against them.

Will someone discover the key to sending the mother and son to prison for the rest of their lives?

Or will the constant dead ends down this route mean the story concludes another way?

Celia is murdered – but Ray stays

While we know that Jaye is definitely leaving the show, there’s no word on the Soapland street that Joe Absolom is, suggesting Ray could be sticking around.

Ray was found on the streets by Celia when he was a child. She then adopted him, and raised him in her dark world. While Ray is responsible of many crimes, he is also a victim of Celia’s grooming and manipulation as well.

With his and Laurel’s romance continuing to blossom, Ray is desperate to escape his mum’s clutches.

If Celia ends up getting murdered by one of the many people she’s hurt, will this mean Ray stays in the village?
