Days of Our Lives‘ Instagram and Facebook accounts gave its fans plenty to be grateful for as the show dropped a new sneak peek this Thanksgiving week. From weddings

The Instagram account for DAYS set up the promo by saying, “In Salem, every shadow reveals the truth, and love always comes at a price. This time, no secret stays in the dark.” Let’s see what the video reveals.

The DiMera Chronicles

It appears that the DiMeras will be responsible for much drama and intrigue. “The House of DiMera will not fall,” claims EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), who seems to be taking the lead of the family. While that moment came at the end of the sneak peek, the DiMeras also kicked off the entire two-minute-plus video.

Chad (Billy Flynn) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) apparently reunite with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), who was missing, which means they are in the DiMera crypt when they make a gruesome discovery.

Chad: Is that a bone?
Kristen: A bone? Are you sure?
Theo: It looks like it’s from a human.

Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) pops up in the video. EJ ends up showing Paulina (Jackée Harry) whatever he has been cooking up in that lab, which is a strange twist. Why would he be showing her anything? They despise each other. And Abe (James Reynolds) will undoubtedly be beyond worried when Theo is hurt. What happens to the new DiMera CEO?

The Romance

There are new couples, classic couples, and couples in jeopardy.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) continue to make magic like only they can. Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) seem to solidify their new bond.

Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) transition from friends to something more while Xander (Paul Telfer) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) reconnect. However, look for Xander to fire Brady from Titan, which is probably the thing that causes Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) temperature to rise.

Maggie: What the hell is wrong with you, Xander?
Xander: Maggie, I….
Maggie: Save it! I can’t stand to look at your face!

Will Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) and EJ fall in love? Not if her ISA job gets in the way. One hot second, the two are kissing, the next second, she has drugged EJ. “Sorry, Mr. DiMera, dinner’s going to have to wait.” These two could be in for a bumpy ride.

Weddings and Other Temptations and Developments

DAYS has at least two weddings in its near future. Plus, a pregnancy, a kidnapping, and the Horton Family Christmas, of course.

First, Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) are headed for holy matrimony. However, that man planting one on Leo sure looks like a long-haired Dimitri (Peter Porte), who is no longer missing in action, apparently. What does this mean for Leo and Javi? And what does this mean for that other couple: Gwen and her fortune?

Meanwhile, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) will have a turbulent road ahead of them. A potential biohazard looms when Alex opens an envelope containing something suspicious. But it’ll be them against the world as they decide they want to be together forever and ever, all the days of their lives. “I don’t want to wait another minute to become your wife,” Stephanie adoringly tells Alex.

Unfortunately, there are forces hoping to keep them apart. It’s unclear whether Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) is one of those forces. He’s probably going to be blamed when Stephanie gets kidnapped.

Finally, Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) can hardly handle one baby on their own. They have just become parents, and it’s taking them time to adjust. And now Chanel is pregnant, and Johnny has this sheer look of fear on his face. Is he about to mess up again?

What Is Going On?

There are some crazy and chaotic things happening in the video sneak peek.

• What is going on with…Holly (Ashley Puzemis)? She has always bordered on being a bad girl, but it’s as if she’s now letting that side of her fly free. That’s a personality change that doesn’t quite come naturally. There might have been a little help with that. What’s about to happen to her? We’re not the only ones who want to know. So does Ari (Marissa Reyes) and probably Tate (Leo Howard), too.
• What is going on with…Sophia (Rachel Boyd)? Unsurprisingly, she isn’t as catatonic as everyone thinks. And now she and Rachel (Alice Halsey) are in Bayview. What is Sophia up to, and is she out for revenge? And will she include Rachel as a co-conspirator?
• What is going on with…Rafe (Galen Gering)? He discovers whatever is happening in EJ’s secret lab at the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic. Who is in that tube/coffin, and why does it make Rafe say, “Dios, mio”?
• What is going on with…Rachel: Marlena (Deidre Hall) advises Brady that Rachel still needs to be at Bayview, so there’s no getting out quite yet. And that fact tears Brady up. Why does Marlena make that decision, and is it the right decision?

• What is going on with…Shawn (Brandon Beemer)? This might have to do with Stephanie’s kidnapping. JJ (Casey Moss) and Shawn fire their guns, but it’s Shawn who ends up on the ground. What happens, and will he be okay?

Surprise Returns

Once again, that appears to be Peter Porte’s Dimitri, who has returned and is attempting to come between Leo and Javi. And in the kidnapping sequence, Steve grabs one of the maybe perpetrators.

There has been a lot of buzz about that guy being Wes Ramsey, who once played Owen Kent on DAYS in 2009. And Owen, get this, once kidnapped Stephanie and had an obsession with her.

And there’s one more guy we would like to know about. Kristen is somehow hospitalized, and she enters the room of someone else she clearly knows. This man is lying in a hospital bed, and after she says, “Forgive me, please,” he screams at her, telling her to get out. Who is that man? Is it a long-lost, long thought-dead Dimera?
